Got up early this morning and drove all my fishing gear to Colorado Lagoon in Long Beach but all of the opaleye algae bait has died off, bringing to an end opaleye season 2019 - 2020. Next try for the opaleye will be Saturday October 17, 2020.
Meanwhile I will hike train in the local mountains every Saturday starting March 14 all the way through August.
In between if I awake early on a Saturday or Sunday and find we have a drizzly marine layer all the way out to Hemet, I will fish Diamond Valley Lake for largemouth bass.
